Obituary for Leroy Anthony
Carter Funeral Home announces the peaceful transition of Mr. Leroy Anthony of Midway, Alabama.

Mr. Anthony 79, gently exchanged life for eternity on February 9, 2021.

Celebration of Life Services and Interment will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the New Bethel Church Cemetery 4409 Highway 51 North Midway, Alabama. Pastor Jerome Anthony will deliver the message of comfort and triumph.

Public visitation will be held Friday, February 19, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home of Union Springs, Alabama.

All services and visitations will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols.

Mr. Leroy Anthony was born to the late Walter Anthony, Sr. and Annie Lee Anthony in Midway, AL on May 13, 1941.

He accepted Christ and joined New St. James A.M.E. Church in Jacksonville, FL. In 2018, Leroy united with New Bethel Church in Midway, AL.

Leroy was educated at Enon Junior High School and Merritt High School in Midway, AL.

He transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at his residence in Midway, AL.

Leroy was also preceded in death by his siblings, Willie Anthony, Walter Anthony, Jr., Jessie Anthony, Jimmy Anthony, and Waller M. Tarver; and one sister-in-law, Essie M. Anthony.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two children, Angelic Anthony, Midway, AL and Charles L.
